Our Short Break Activities are for children and young people aged 8-18 years, who have moderate, severe or profound learning disabilities and live in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge & Malling.

We run weekend clubs during term-time and playschemes during school holidays. Our clubs focus on child-led play with a variety of activities on offer. Each session is run by a coordinator and supported by a high level of experienced staff and trained volunteers. The venues we use are safe and fully secure with accessible facilities for our children and young people. Occasionally, we are lucky enough to be awarded additional funding which enables us to offer trips and activities in the community.

All our services are parent-referral. Due to the limited number of spaces we have available, we have a referral period once a year during which families who would like a space are able to make a referral. All spaces are allocated for April to March, enabling us to provide a regular, reliable service to families for that period. If there are still spaces available, our referral form will remain open until all spaces are allocated for the year. Each child is allocated to an appropriate group based on evaluation of their individual needs.
