The Lion King!
We were recently lucky enough to be awarded funding to take a group of children and young people to the West End. We got the train to London and had a picnic in the park before going to see an autism-friendly showing of the Lion King. Despite the heat, everyone had a great time!
Thank you very much to Gregg's Foundation Local Community Project for the funding for this trip.
Thank you!
We would like to say a big thank you to the organisations that have supported us over the last year, without whom Nova Children's Project wouldn't have been possible.
Special thanks goes to our principal funders who provide us with the vital financial support we need to run our key services:
-
Kent County Council for the funding for our weekend clubs and holiday playschemes for children and young people aged 8-19
-
National Lottery Community Fund for awarding us the grant to launch our new 19-25 Project
We would also like to say thank you to the following organisations who have supported our project, enabling us to enhance our activities and develop our services:
-
Tunbridge Wells Round Table
-
Gatwick Foundation Fund
-
Tesco
-
Linda Hogan Community Fund
-
Gatwick Airport Community Trust
-
Holmewood House School
-
Co-op Community Fund
And last but not least, thank you to all the individuals who have been kind enough to make a donation over the last year, including everyone who supported us in our Crowdfunder. We are very grateful to each and every one of you.
Trips!
We have been extremely fortunate to have recently been awarded funding to take some of our children and young people on trips. This has included Drusilla's Park and Chessington World of Adventures, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
Thank you to Happy Days Children's Charity and Gregg's Foundation Local Community Project Fund for making these trips possible.
Prize Bingo Fundraiser!
Every few months we try to do a fundraising event to help us to continue to fund the work we do. Our most recent one was a Prize Bingo evening run by our Project Worker, Ian. The evening was a big success and we managed to raise an amazing £582!
Thank you very much to everyone who came along, bought raffle tickets and to all the local organisations who kindly donated some incredible prizes.

Thank you Miles!
A huge thank you to this amazing young man, who completed a triathlon to raise money for Nova Children's Project!
Miles decided to fundraise for us when he heard of our organisation and was upset to realise that children with disabilities often don't have access to the same range of holiday clubs and after school activities as he does. This was his first ever triathlon and he had to swim 100m in open water at Hever Castle, cycle 4km and then run 1.3km. He successfully smashed his target and raised an incredible £880 to go towards our services. He popped in a few months ago to see our work in action.
Well done and thank you Miles!
Launch Party!
When we launched Nova Children's Project in April 2018, we decided to have a party to celebrate!
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and gave us their support, from our lovely young people and their families, to our incredible staff team who volunteered their time. And thank you to the local organisations that donated prizes and to JEvents for the bouncing castle disco dome and for giving us the opportunity to meet Peppa Pig and Olaf!
We had an amazing day with you all.
